Family Centre
At the edge of the village of Zababdeh lies a building with three floors and a playground. On the basement floor is a Day Care for children until six years old, with places for forty children. Next to the playground is a coffeeshop that is opened during the summer- one of the few meeting places in the village where people of different religious denominations meet.
On the Ground Floor, which is on street level, is a big hall for theatre play and music performances, and there are classrooms for older children.
In the big hall twice a month is a children Bible Club, which attracts hundreds of children. Also summer camps are organised on this floor and the adjacent playground area. For the woman of Zababdeh regular activities take place, including courses on health issues and childcare..
On the top floor there is the built skeleton of a Guest House, which Tabitha is wanting to complete and furnish and bring into use.
The Day Care Centre and the Coffee Shop are cost-effective, but much funding is required for the other outreach activities of the Centre.
